ABU COFFEE

ABU COFFEE was born from the legacy of José Guillermo Luttrell Tedman, a third-generation coffee producer with a passion for crafting the perfect cup of Geisha. Named after his grandchildren’s affectionate nickname for him “Abu,” short for Abuelo, the brand represents a deep family heritage rooted in excellence, dedication, and love for coffee.

Located in the highlands of Boquete, Panama, Hacienda Cañas Verdes, home of ABU COFFEE, is a boutique coffee farm nestled on the volcanic slopes of Volcán Barú. With rich, well-drained soils, native shade trees, and a unique microclimate shaped by Bajareque mist and mountain sun, ABU COFFEE provides ideal conditions for cultivating exceptional Geisha coffees.

As a boutique farm committed to quality and innovation, we focus on meticulous processing methods and sustainable practices that highlight the distinct character of each lot. Our coffees have earned international recognition not only at the Best of Panama competition, but also by being selected for national Brewers Cup competitions around the world and showcased for several years at the World Brewers Cup.

Today, ABU COFFEE is enjoyed in over 30 countries and continues to build lasting partnerships through trust, excellence, and a deep respect for the craft.
